Japanese farmers are growing square watermelons. Why? They pack better than round ones, and the fit better in their small refrigerators, and they take up less space.
Are they genetically modified? No. They just turn out to be square if you make them grow inside a square tempered glass cases while they are still on the vine.
Why we don’t see them in the United States? According to CNN back in 2001, one watermelon costs about the equivalent of $82. So they probably do not sell well here. But in 2010, NPR did report of a Panama fruit company shipping some square watermelons to New York. They mentioned that it costs $75 a piece.
Is this for real? Or did someone altered the photographs? It is for real. Besides being reported on CNN and NPR, it was also reported on BBC. Snopes.com, which often debunks urban legends, also says the photographs are real.

Different colors and animal head shapes available.

But they look just like candles with a simulated look of melted wax. Some led have flicker effect to simulate flame-like appearance. Some have scent. Some have a timer feature. And some even have a remote control.

He talked with NPR’s Fresh Air about the book, which you can listen here.
He says that our universe may be only one of a multitude of universes out there in what is termed the multiverse. And those other universes may be entirely different from our own including having different elementary particles and different physical laws.
Some books have titles that reference itself. In other words, the title of the book is about the book itself, which in many cases tells you nothing about the book itself (unless you read the subtitle).
There are books that tell you to have it, read it, not read it, not open it, hide it, buy it, steal it, burn it, tear it, write in it, eat it, and not eat it.
A book that explicitly says it is a book, and one that explicitly says that it is not. Book that says it has monsters in it, cats in it, and no cats in it.
A book that says that it bites and another that warps space and time. Book that tells you that it will make you money and another that it will save your live.
