Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in the design, development, and deployment of Shopify stores, apps, and custom functionalities for clients across B2C, B2B, and POS platforms
• Work closely with clients to gather and understand business requirements, translating them into technical solutions while maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish and maintain coding best practices, conduct code reviews, and ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and security
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of developers, ensuring continuous improvement in technical skills and adherence to project goals
• Create technical proofs-of-concept and vertical slices to validate architectural approaches.
• Consult and educate partners about the appropriate way to develop against and consume Shopify APIs
• Develop custom Shopify themes and apps, integrating with third-party systems such as OMS, ERP, CRM, PIM, and marketing platforms to support complex eCommerce needs
• Continuously optimize site performance, ensuring fast load times, mobile responsiveness, and SEO best practices
• Stay up-to-date with Shopify platform updates, new tools, and emerging eCommerce technologies to recommend improvements and innovative solutions for clients

Requirements

• 7+ years of Shopify development like Shopify Plus, APIs, Liquid, GraphQL & in managing the Shopify projects.
• Experience as a tech lead/ similar senior-level role, supporting team members and delivering complex projects
• Substantial, relevant experience in software development like HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript
• Familiarity working with theme build tools such as Vite.js, Webpack
• Strong skills in scalable architecture, performance optimization & accessibility
• Familiarity with DevOps workflows, GitHub, and modern build tools
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
